Gathering for Young Religious

We are moving the in-person program originally planned for 2020 to Aug. 3-5, 2021, in Kansas City, MO, so save the dates!

Wake Up the World: A Gathering for Young Religious will run concurrently with the 2020 CMSM National Assembly. Designed for religious who are within five years of final vows or ordination, this three-day program will focus on strengthening the life and ministry of religious during the early years, building fraternity across community, and developing skills for ministry and leadership.

Topics include:

  • Fraternal support across community¬†and by area of apostolic ministry
  • Joys and challenges of religious life
  • Healthy transition from formation to apostolic ministry
  • Intergenerational living
  • Developing leadership skills

The young religious will join the major superiors for Mass, prayer and some sessions, plus engage in guided group discussions based on shared experiences, panels, and breakouts by apostolic ministry, such as education.

The facilitator will be Fr. Frank Donio, SAC, director of the Catholic Apostolate Center, working in collaboration with four young religious serving on the planning team.

Through our scholarship program, we are able to provide this program at a discounted cost. Space is limited so please register early.
