Most religious communities of men invoke the Blessed Virgin Mary under some particular title. She offers us, as she did our founders, a witness of fidelity to God in the midst of needs and challenges. During this month dedicated to Mary, we have an opportunity to consider more deeply her role in our lives. On the day after Pentecost, we will celebrate the relatively new feast day of Mary, Mother of the Church, instituted by Pope Francis in 2018. She is of the church as are we as religious men. We offer to others our witness of fidelity to God in the midst of needs and challenges in the church and in the world. She is with us as she is with the whole church, from the time in the Cenacle or Upper Room to today.

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us!

In prayerful solidarity,
Frank Donio, SAC

Executive Director
