Election 2018: "A Call to Holiness: A 2018 Guide for Voters"

Find a PDF document of the guide here. Find a format to print as a booklet here. For a Spanish version click here.

CMSM has worked with a coalition of DC-based Catholic national advocacy organizations to provide this reflection guide for exercising your right to vote this November 2018. It is not intended to be exhaustive but to invite deep reflection on priority issues shared between the organizations, which all support a consistent ethic of life and dignity.

We encourage our members to share this guide with your religious community and distribute in your ministries. You can download and use this guide in town meetings, candidate forums, and other ways to communicate with candidates in preparation for voting on November 6th. The guide can also be used with friends, neighbors and family members as we encourage each other to be informed Catholic voters.

Election 2016: "A Revolution of Tenderness" Voting Resource

One of the suggestions that came out of the CMSM member and JPIC meeting in Region 5  in 2016 was to develop some election guide material. We worked with a new Catholic coalition of national advocacy organizations and developed: A Revolution of Tenderness: a 2016 Election Pope Francis Voter Guide* (Long Version PDF | Two-Page PDF). This is meant as a spiritual reflection guide and to incorporate significant elements of Pope Francis’ message from the organizational signers' perspective. (*This guide is not officially endorsed or denied by Pope Francis.)

Even after the election, we hope you find it helpful and share it with your religious community, friends and family, lay associates, schools and parishes, ministries, social media, etc. It's great for personal reflection, group discussions, homily resource, handout at Mass, etc.
