The keynote speakers at this year’s Assembly were New Orleans Auxiliary Bishop Fernand Cheri, III, OFM, and Sulpician Father Thomas Ulshafer. The theme was “Repentance and Reconciliation.”
On August 6, 50 religious men from 27 different provinces and monasteries signed up for CMSM’s first “Conversation for Young Religious.” Newark Auxiliary Bishop Elias Lorenzo, OSB, the immediate past president of the American-Cassinese Congregation of Benedictine Monasteries, spoke about hope in this time of pandemic and change before the men, who were within five years of final vows or ordination, broke into small groups for discussion.
