Friday, February 2 marked the 28th World Day for Consecrated Life celebration on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
As is traditional, Pope Francis preached a homily on consecrated life, focusing on the theme of “waiting for God” and some obstacles to achieving this patience. More coverage of the event can be found in this Vatican News article.
Overlapping with World Day for Consecrated Life is a meeting being held by the Dicastery of Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (DICLSAL) for planning the 2025 Jubilee for consecrated life. Fr. Jeffrey Kirch, CPPS, is participating in the meeting on behalf of CMSM. Look for some reflections on the event in the next Items of Note!
